Returns, Refunds & Lifetime Warranty Policy

Last Updated: October 2, 2026

At Heritage Forge Blades, we stand behind the craftsmanship and quality of our products. Please review this policy carefully before placing an order. It explains our lifetime warranty, returns, refunds, exchanges, cancellations, and procedures for damaged or incorrect products.

Lifetime Warranty

Heritage Forge Blades provides a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects for the original purchaser.

If your product develops a manufacturing defect during normal and intended use, please contact us at contact@heritageforgeblades.com. After reviewing and approving the warranty claim, we may repair or replace the affected product, as appropriate.

Proof of purchase and photographs or other information necessary to evaluate the claim may be required.

What the Lifetime Warranty Covers

Our lifetime warranty covers defects resulting from the manufacturing or workmanship of the product.

What the Lifetime Warranty Does Not Cover

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Misuse, abuse, or neglect
  • Accidental damage
  • Improper maintenance, cleaning, or storage
  • Rust, corrosion, staining, or discoloration resulting from improper care
  • Damage caused by improper sharpening
  • Damage caused by modification, alteration, or unauthorized repair
  • Damage caused by using a product for a purpose for which it was not designed
  • Natural variations in wood, bone, horn, leather, or other natural materials
  • Products that have been lost or stolen
  • Damage occurring after confirmed delivery that is unrelated to a manufacturing defect

Heritage Forge Blades reserves the right to inspect photographs, videos, or the physical product before determining whether an issue qualifies as a manufacturing defect.

30-Day Return Policy

Eligible products may be returned within 30 days from the date of delivery.

Products must meet the conditions described in this policy to qualify for a return or refund.

Please contact us and obtain return authorization before shipping any product back to us.

If your product arrives:

  • Damaged

We will evaluate the claim and provide appropriate instructions.

Return Requirements

To qualify for an eligible return:

  • The return request must be made within the applicable return period.
  • The product must be the same product originally purchased.
  • All components and accessories supplied with the product should be returned.
  • Original packaging should be included where reasonably possible.
  • The product must not have been intentionally damaged, altered, or modified.
  • You must obtain return authorization from Heritage Forge Blades before sending the product.

Sending a product to us without prior authorization does not guarantee acceptance or a refund.

Non-Returnable and Final-Sale Products

The following products are generally considered final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged, defective, incorrect, or applicable law provides otherwise:

  • Custom-made products
  • Personalized products
  • Engraved products
  • Special-order products
  • Clearance products
  • Products specifically identified as Final Sale
  • Gift cards

Full or partial advance payment may be required before we begin manufacturing custom or personalized orders.

Once production of a customized, personalized, or engraved product has begun, the order generally cannot be cancelled.

Natural Materials

Many Heritage Forge Blades products are handcrafted using natural materials, including:

  • Wood
  • Bone
  • Ram horn
  • Buffalo horn
  • Leather
  • Other naturally occurring materials

Natural materials can vary in color, grain, pattern, texture, shape, and appearance.

These variations are part of the character of handcrafted products and generally do not constitute manufacturing defects.

Natural materials can also react to moisture, temperature, humidity, sunlight, and storage conditions. Customers are responsible for appropriately maintaining and storing their products.

Handmade Products

Because many of our products are handmade, minor variations may occur between individual products.

Variations in Damascus patterns, handle materials, natural grain, polishing, finishing, dimensions, or other handmade characteristics may occur.

Reasonable variations resulting from handmade production are generally not considered manufacturing defects.

How to Request a Return

To start a return or warranty claim:

1. Have your order number ready.

2. Email us at:
contact@heritageforgeblades.com

3. Include the reason for your return.

If the product is damaged, defective, or incorrect, include clear photographs showing the issue.

4. Wait for return authorization.

If your return is approved, we will provide return instructions.

5. Ship the product according to the provided instructions.

Please do not return merchandise without first contacting us.

Return Shipping Costs

For ordinary returns where the product is not defective, damaged, or incorrect, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable.

If an approved return results from an error by Heritage Forge Blades or a confirmed manufacturing defect, we will provide an appropriate resolution and instructions regarding return shipping.

Where applicable law provides customers with additional rights regarding return shipping or refunds, those rights will apply.

Refunds

After we receive your returned product, we will inspect it and determine whether the return complies with this policy.

If approved, your refund will generally be issued to your original payment method.

Depending on the circumstances, the refund may be reduced by:

  • Applicable restocking fees
  • Non-refundable original shipping charges
  • Other permitted deductions associated with the condition of the returned product

We will notify you when your refund has been approved or processed.

After we issue a refund, your bank, credit card company, or payment provider may require additional processing time before the funds appear in your account.

Exchanges

We process exchanges as a return followed by a new order.

If you would like a different product, model, design, or other available option, please request a return for the eligible original product and place a new order for the desired product.

This approach helps prevent the replacement product from becoming unavailable while your original item is in transit.

Order Cancellations

We process orders as quickly as possible. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that an order can be cancelled after it has been placed.

If you need to request a cancellation, contact:

contact@heritageforgeblades.com

as soon as possible.

If your order has already entered processing, manufacturing, personalization, engraving, packaging, or shipping, cancellation may no longer be possible.

Custom, personalized, special-order, or engraved products generally cannot be cancelled once production has started.

Lost or Stolen Packages

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address when placing an order.

If tracking shows that a package has been delivered but you cannot locate it, please:

  1. Check the delivery location and surrounding area.
  2. Check with household members or others who may have accepted the package.
  3. Contact the shipping carrier or local delivery office.
  4. Review the tracking information for additional delivery details.

In some circumstances, carriers may mark a shipment as delivered shortly before final delivery.

Heritage Forge Blades is generally not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after confirmed delivery to the shipping address provided with the order, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

If you experience a delivery problem, contact us and we will assist with available shipping and tracking information where reasonably possible.

Incorrect Shipping Address

Customers are responsible for entering the correct shipping information during checkout.

Please verify your:

  • Name
  • Street address
  • Apartment or unit number
  • City
  • State/province
  • Postal/ZIP code
  • Country
  • Telephone number, where required for delivery

If you notice an error after placing an order, contact us immediately.

We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has entered fulfillment or has been shipped.

Additional shipping charges resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address may be the customer's responsibility where permitted by applicable law.

Shipping Delays

Processing and estimated delivery times are provided separately in our Shipping Policy.

Although we work to deliver orders within the estimated timeframe, delays can occur because of circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:

  • Carrier delays
  • Customs processing
  • Customs inspections
  • Severe weather
  • Holidays
  • Transportation disruptions
  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery information
  • Other logistical circumstances

If your shipment significantly exceeds the estimated delivery timeframe, please contact us so we can investigate the shipment.

Customs and International Orders

International shipments may be subject to customs inspections and import requirements established by the destination country.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the products they order can legally be imported, possessed, and used in their jurisdiction.

Import duties, taxes, customs charges, brokerage fees, or similar government or carrier charges may apply to international shipments unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout.

Please review our Shipping Policy for additional information regarding international orders.

Product Use and Local Laws

Certain knives, swords, blades, or related products may be regulated differently depending on the customer's country, state, province, city, or other jurisdiction.

By ordering from Heritage Forge Blades, customers are responsible for understanding and complying with applicable laws concerning the purchase, importation, possession, transportation, and use of the products they order.

Policy and Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or override rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer-protection laws.

If mandatory consumer-protection law applicable to your purchase provides rights that are more favorable than a provision of this policy, the applicable legal requirement will control.
